Nepal has inaugurated the Nagdhunga–Sisnekhola Tunnel, the country’s first modern road tunnel, built with assistance from Japan. The 2,688-metre tunnel is expected to ease traffic congestion, improve connectivity around Kathmandu and mark a major milestone in Nepal’s transport infrastructure.
