The India Association of Charlotte (IAC) has partnered with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra (CSO) in a collaboration to be showcased at the 28th Annual Festival of India. The highlight will be the closing fusion concert on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 7pm, at Ballantyne’s Backyard and feature the music of Indian composers Shruti Rajasekar, Anoushka Shankar, and A R Rahman, serving as a bridge for cultural exchange through symphonic music. Additionally, the concert will include the Charlotte premiere of “Rhapsody in Raag Jog,” a work by composer Drew Zaremba. This piece features bansuri flautist and saxophonist, Anjan Shah and epitomizes a fusion of Eastern and Western musical traditions. The event is free! Find out more at www.charlotteartsfest.com
