At the BRICS 2026 Summit in New Delhi, culinary teams are using food as a key tool for cultural diplomacy. Hospitality experts at the Taj Mahal Hotel have designed an “India Friendship Menu” that blends international home comforts like Laksa and Soto Ayam with iconic regional Indian specialties such as Nalli Nihari and appams. To showcase Indian heritage, an edible map featuring localized regional snacks and symbol-themed amenities like lotus-infused delicacies were introduced. Visiting delegates are also gifted a handpicked collection of home-style recipes from the chefs’ mothers. Moving forward, these curated dining experiences aim to leave lasting cultural impressions alongside high-level geopolitical discussions.
