Applications Now Open for a Paid Cybersecurity Apprenticeship in Charlotte

What is the new Cybersecurity apprenticeship? Road to Hire Apprenticeships (www.roadtohire.org) pay young adults ages 18-25 as they train in tech, develop professional skills, and launch their careers. After a rigorous six-month paid training program, trainees transition to career-path jobs with premier Charlotte employers like Bank of America, Red Ventures, and Duke Energy.

Road to Hire has added a new Cybersecurity track to its tech apprenticeship offerings. An inaugural class of up to 50 apprentices will train to become cybersecurity professionals, protecting people and companies from cyberattacks and data breaches. Curriculum will include:

  • Networking Fundamentals
  • Threats, Attacks and Vulnerabilities
  • Risk Management and Cryptography
  • Cyber industry certifications

Cybersecurity is a high-demand talent need for Charlotte business – but more importantly, Road to Hire is committed to continuing to ensure young people who are under-represented in tech careers and without access to college have access to this high-growth field as a stepping stone to a higher-earning, stable career.
