Mint Fashion Day Celebration: Charlotte, NC

Join for the opening celebration of Fashion Reimagined: Themes & Variations: 1760-NOW that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Mint’s fashion collection by the Mint Museum Auxiliary. There will be panel discussions, keynote speaker and more. Will feature those who conceived, developed, and created the exhibit Fashion Reimagined. Nigerian/American filmmaker and artist Walé Oyéjidé presents the North Carolina premiere of his documentary “After Migration: Calabria” while discussing his methods of using fashion design as a subversive tool to dismantle cultural bias. His designs have appeared in motion pictures like Black Panther and have been exhibited in museums around the globe. The event takes place at Mint Museum Uptown Charlotte from 10am – 6pm.
