This special event will feature renowned award-winning broadcast journalist Barkha Dutt. In an era of unprecedented polarization and dominance of big tech platforms, she will delve into the evolving landscape of media and its intersection with technology, politics and society. Following Dutt’s presentation, Stephen Buckley, Eugene C. Patterson Professor of the Practice of Journalism and Public Policy, and Manoj Mohanan, Creed C. Black Professor and Professor in the Sanford School of Public Policy, Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Research in the Sanford School of Public Policy, will join the discussion. The event will be held on on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 5 – 6:30pm at the Fleishman Commons Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University in Durham. It is organized by the Duke India Initiative and co-sponsored by the DeWitt Wallace Center for Media & Democracy.
