As you know, thanks to SNAP benefits being suspended, NC food banks are running dangerously low. Also, most federal workers have not been paid in over 5 weeks. Food insecurity is off the charts where Food Banks everywhere are running low on supplies.
The S.E.V.A. team and TAHTS are both conducting charity measures to help those currently in need.
The S.E.V.A. team is conducting a food drive to deliver some relief to local communities. Please donate canned and dried goods if you can and we will deliver them to Second Harvest Food Bank on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
Please drop off these goods anytime at the Hindu Center of Charlotte’s Office:
7400 City View Drive
Charlotte, NC 28212
You will see a sign for ‘SEVA: Second Harvest Food Bank’ where to drop it off.
The need is so great they will take anything that is non-perishable. Based on previous experience packages of Mac and Cheese and other Pasta, Canned Beans, Soup and Tuna are much appreciated.
For those who would rather send donations, you can do so through the following link: donate.stripe.com/3cI4gA7sL881eqY1tqaVa00. Once payment is processed a receipt will also be issued for tax purposes.
S.E.V.A. will deliver all monetary donations as well as nonperishable food on November 15th.
The Triangle Area Hindu Temples Association (TAHTS) needs your help. Hundreds of local families just lost critical SNAP food benefits, creating an immediate hunger crisis.
Your gift of $35 provides one child with food for a week. 100% of your donation goes directly to groceries (zero fees).
