Borosil Employees in Gujarat Make Magic with Glass

The Magical Sound of Glass

There are millions of people around the world whose lives Borosil has been a part of, in one small way or another, through its manifold products. While all of us might use these products every day, we've never really thought about what goes on behind the scenes, the amount of effort and precision that goes into the making of these pieces of glass. More importantly, the creators of these pieces over the years have never taken the center stage they deserve.

That's when Borosil decided to do something special for its employees, and to try and bridge the gap between the people at the factory making the glass and its numerous well-wishers on social media.

Some of us went to the Borosil plant at Bharuch and handed the employees a glass stick, asking them to make sounds with the products they make day in and day out. We recorded these sounds on location and created a short film that was played back to them as a surprise, a few days later in the lead up to India's Independence Day.

Shreevar Kheruka - Managing Director Borosil says, "It was incredible to see the smiles on the faces of each and every person at the factory when we played the film. The joy and pride felt in that hall in that moment was palpable. We are glad that this initiative of ours could see the light of day and that we could finally bring our unsung heroes into the limelight. We hope that sharing this film with our consumers brings them the same joy we try to bring to them with our products."
