The HelpHygiene Foundation was co-founded by Malika Rawal (sophomore at Providence Day, High School) and Simran Bhargava with a mission “To increase sanitation in impoverished communities for an effort to decrease the transmission of noxious disease." They achieve this by educating the uninformed on issues concerning sanitation by conducting workshops. They also collect sanitizers, toiletries (unused body wash, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, and shaving materials), and gently worn shoes of any size/gender. The organization donates everything collected to homeless centers in Charlotte including “A Child's Place", “The Relatives", and “Home Development Inc." They have recognized by the Charlotte Observer and Providence Day Global Studies group. A membership drive will take place on September 17th from 11 AM to 2 PM. RSVP by emailing at firstname.lastname@example.org. To find more information visit www.helphygiene.com.
